Abstract

The paper demonstrates an experimental framework for a comprehensive two dimensional invasive analysis of spraying cone properties at Hollow Cone Nozzles based on a compound of fiber-array sensors. The aim is an automatic, fast and reproducible extraction and visualization of relevant features of the spraying cone liquid sheet like sheet propagation direction, frequency and velocity. Due to the extraction of multivariate data in terms of two dimensional signals, sheet features can be evaluated that are not amenable to other types of invasive or noninvasive sheet analysis.
